Before you upload
Read max file size (KB/MB), pixel dimensions or aspect ratio, allowed extensions (JPG/PNG), and background color rules (e.g. white).
When specs are vague, under 500 KB–1 MB and roughly 1200–2000 px on the long edge often passes — but always follow the site’s own instructions first.
Common mistakes
Uploading iPhone HEIC originals that the form rejects
Shrinking file size but cropping the face or breaking aspect ratio
Uploading full-resolution originals that time out
Suggested order
Convert HEIC to JPG if needed → set max edge to spec → lower quality slightly and check size → preview face and background before submit
